Your Light has Come

Arise, shine, for your light has come:
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
Behold darkness covers the earth:
and thick darkness is over the peoples.
But upon you the Lord shall rise:
and the glory of the Lord will appear upon you.

New Testament Reading - Free, not slaves

thumb

28You and I, dear brothers, are the children that God promised, just as Isaac was.

31Dear brothers, we are not slave children, obligated to the Jewish laws, but children of the free woman, acceptable to God because of our faith.

5 1So Christ has made us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get all tied up again in the chains of slavery to Jewish laws and ceremonies.

6And we to whom Christ has given eternal life don’t need to worry about whether we have been circumcised or not, or whether we are obeying the Jewish ceremonies or not; for all we need is faith working through love.

. . . . . Galatians 4:28,31-5:1,6

Those who keep and teach the commandments
will be considered great in heaven.

Intercession

Please remember our Prayer Requests

You, Lord are the light of the world;
come and make our darkness bright.
Lord, have mercy. E te Ariki, kia aroha mai.
O God, give the solitary a home
and bring forth the prisoners into freedom.
Christ, have mercy. E te Karaiti, kia aroha mai.
Restore us again, O God of hosts;
show the light of your countenance
and we shall be saved.
Lord, have mercy. E te Ariki, kia aroha mai.
Amen.
