Your Light has Come

Nations will come to your light:
and kings to the brightness of your rising.
No longer will violence be heard in your land:
nor ruin or destruction within your borders.
But you will call your walls ‘Salvation’:
and all your gates ‘Praise’.

New Testament Reading - Patience under hardship

thumb

32Don’t ever forget those wonderful days when you first learned about Christ. Remember how you kept right on with the Lord even though it meant terrible suffering. 33Sometimes you were laughed at and beaten, and sometimes you watched and sympathized with others suffering the same things. 34You suffered with those thrown into jail, and you were actually joyful when all you owned was taken from you, knowing that better things were awaiting you in heaven, things that would be yours forever.

35Do not let this happy trust in the Lord die away, no matter what happens. Remember your reward! 36You need to keep on patiently doing God’s will if you want him to do for you all that he has promised.

. . . . . Hebrews 10:32-36

Intercession

Please remember our Prayer Requests

You, Lord are the light of the world;
come and make our darkness bright.
Lord, have mercy. E te Ariki, kia aroha mai.
O God, give the solitary a home
and bring forth the prisoners into freedom.
Christ, have mercy. E te Karaiti, kia aroha mai.
Restore us again, O God of hosts;
show the light of your countenance
and we shall be saved.
Lord, have mercy. E te Ariki, kia aroha mai.
Amen.
