Epistle Reflection
Our hearts and minds must be made completely new;
we must get rid of that old self, which made us live as we did;
we must put on the new self, created in God’s likeness,
revealed in the true life which is upright and holy.
New Testament Reading - Tree of Life

1And he pointed out to me a river of pure Water of Life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and the Lamb, 2coursing down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew Trees of Life,a bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month; the leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.
3There shall be nothing in the city that is evil; for the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him. 4And they shall see his face; and his name shall be written on their foreheads. 5And there will be no night there — no need for lamps or sun — for the Lord God will be their light; and they shall reign forever and ever.
6-7Then the angel said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true: ‘I am coming soon!’b God, who tells his prophets what the future holds, has sent his angel to tell you this will happen soon. Blessed are those who believe it and all else written in the scroll.”
. . . . . Revelation 22:1-7- Literally, “The tree of life”—used here as a collective noun, implying plurality.
- Soon, or “suddenly,” “unexpectedly”
Intercession
Pray for 5 people on your heart ending with the prayer below.
Heavenly Father
We pray for… those in need:
those who suffer;
the sick;
the poor;
the distressed;
the lonely; the unloved;
the persecuted;
the unemployed;
those who grieve; and those who care for them…
Comfort and heal, merciful Lord,
all who are in sorrow, need, sickness, or any other trouble.
Give them a firm trust in your goodness;
help those who minister to them;
and bring us all into the joy of your salvation.
Father, hear our prayer,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
